Meet Dave Potter, the driving force behind Totem Tree Service, where he and his son Kai Potter serve Alberni Valley and surrounding areas, including Tofino, Bamfield, Ucluelet and beyond. Since 2003, he’s worked in the forest industry, he is a Certified ISA Arborist and a Certified Faller. He has established himself as a trusted and safe tree specialist on Vancouver Island.
With nearly two decades of forestry expertise under his belt, Dave has unparalleled skill and dedication. At Totem Tree Service, safety reigns supreme, with Dave and Kai ensuring every job is executed with efficiency and every site is left pristine.

I have known Dave Potter for fifteen years. During that time I have had various jobs done around the property (75 acres – 35 acres wooded).
The jobs have varied from taking out two huge 120′ feet fir trees to limbing up smaller trees near the farmhouse.
Dave is always extremely safe and particular about his work environment. He is punctual and well-mannered and leaves the site clean. He has a good eye for what will work and is meticulous in detail.
